Is the e-signature legally valid in India?
Yes. Signatures captured in LanceFlow comply with the Information Technology Act, 2000. We record the client's signature image, typed name, IP address, and timestamp — creating an enforceable audit trail for freelance service agreements under Indian contract law. For very high-value contracts (₹10L+), pair this with a formal legal agreement.
How do I collect a deposit before starting work?
Create a proposal and set the payment mode to '50-50 split' or 'Full upfront'. When your client clicks Accept & Sign, they're immediately redirected to an invoice with UPI and Razorpay payment links. The deposit lands in your account before you begin.
Does LanceFlow work with UPI and Razorpay?
Both. Invoices under ₹1 lakh include a UPI deep link — clients pay via GPay, PhonePe, or Paytm in one tap. For higher amounts or when you want card and net banking, connect your Razorpay account in Settings and clients get a full checkout experience.
Can I use LanceFlow without a GST number or company?

How does LanceFlow handle TDS on freelance income?
Under Section 194J, clients deduct 10% TDS on professional fees above ₹30,000 per year (2% if your PAN is linked to Aadhaar). LanceFlow calculates TDS on each invoice and shows your net receivable, then aggregates all TDS deducted across clients on the Tax & ITR page so you know exactly how much credit to claim when filing.
